Review of ZyloCo’s Best of Bareback Leather
Whew; I’ve finally made it to the end of watching ZyloCo’s Best of Bareback Leather! Special thanks to Tony & Cam for sending the DVD to me.
I won Best of Bareback Leather in a contest they held a little while back so I’m not sure if they’re actually expecting me to review it or just enjoy it. I think I mentioned that I’d be interested in reviewing it in any event.
I gotta tell you right up front though that this 2 ½ hour leather flick is not for everyone. Because that in a nutshell is what the Best of Bareback Leather is all about.
Anthony DeAngelo & Cameron Cruise have put together on one DVD five hot scenes from five of their bareback leather flicks, featuring some of the best performers in the business.
Each scene is about 30 minutes long and driven by a hard pounding metal beat. Here’s a tip for you – watch each scene separately and don’t try to be a greedy pig and watch it all in one sitting.
I made that mistake and OD’d on the sights and sounds. I had to pace myself after the first two scenes. It also didn’t help that I snuck a peak beforehand at some of the trailers for the other hot movies Tony & Cam have made.
Scene 1: Hairy Daddy / Hungry Boy: I found it interesting that in Scene 1 newcummer Eddie Fox was broken in as Will West’s slave. In fact it was a pretty intense way to start off this mammoth compilation.
There’s lots of good extreme close ups of intense cock sucking and deep ass eating in this scene.

Scene 2 Bareback Muscle Titans: This scene actually confused me as I hadn’t seen the full movie nor had I read the press release prior to watching it. Review of Joe Phillips’ Stonewall & Riot
Joe Phillips’ Stonewall & Riot is a fabulous animated campy romp across Eros City; worthy of a GayVN award!
Warning to the sex villains in Eros City, there’s a new crime fighting, dynamic sexual duo in town. They’re gorgeous and hard and they’ve got lots of lube on hand. Their names are Stonewall (voice by Joe Phillips), and his trusty Twink, Riot (voice by Brandon Colt).
Stonewall & Riot is 60 minutes of sex packed animated action and Joe Phillips’ most ambitious project to date. The fact that he dared to even attempt such a large scale feature length animated movie is commendable. That he was able to do so with such a small production team, is nothing short of amazing.
The story takes place in the wonderfully rendered Eros City, a dark and futuristic looking city with shades of “bright lights”. Think, kind of like what you might expect Gotham City to look like if it was sexed up with dildo and vibrator like architecture. It’s a phallic city.
Our heroes, Stonewall and Riot fuck their way across the city, pumping a deviant cast of characters including, Polecat, (Craig Hamilton), Professor Prophylactic, (James Armour), Bondage Fairy, (Joe Phillips again), and a whole lot more, for information on the whereabouts of the missing Dr. Von Fuckingcock and his dangerous invention, the Orgasmorator.
Eventually our gay heroes face their ultimate sex challenge – The French Tickler, (Drew Searing), a vindictive sexoholic bent on bathing Eros City in a sea of jizz but not before having a good orgy beforehand!
Keep your eyes peeled throughout the movie for nods to other creations and works by Joe Phillips as well as product placements for a certain lube.
Most of the movie is rendered in brilliant 3-D however there are also some interesting 2-D animated sequences throughout, including the end sequence/credits where there’s a nod to the old Batman and Robin cartoons.
By the looks of things, Joe Phillips and Lex Wolfcraft did the bulk of the work on this film however there was a lot of other great talent that helped bring all the pieces together both in the visual department as well as in the music, (Ari Gold, Drew Searing, Justus Boyz, Nebula, and Frank Schroder), sound and voice departments.
My partner and I watched Stonewall & Riot and enjoyed it immensely. However we originally watched it on our TV using our old DVD player – it would appear that we need a new DVD player…
The second viewing on the computer was actually better because its DVD player is newer and capable of rendering the dual-layered scene transitions infinitely better.
The film is in a wide-screen format and also interestingly enough there’s English, French, German and Spanish subtitles available.
What else can I say? If you love animated films then you’ve got to watch Stonewall & Riot; it’s a rare gem.
