Paratrooper Pleads Guilty in Gay Porn Site Case

Prior to starting a blog here I was following a story or case over on my gay news bits blog on some Paratroopers involved in gay porn. (link no longer available.)

Yesterday, Pfc. Mitten, 21, pleaded guilty to sodomy, conduct detrimental to the Army and cocaine use. He will be discharged from military service.

Mitten and seven other soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division were accused of appearing on a gay porn website — Active Duty to be more precise. Two others, Pvt. Mullen and Pfc. Ashley, have also pleaded guilty and were sentenced to prison.

Army prosecutors said Mitten helped recruit other men in his division. He’s being labeled by some as the “ring leader”…

You know, I think its a shame that the Army has taken this stance on sodomy and being gay; I still say they wouldn’t have had such a hard time if they had been on a str8 porn site, (even though that would also be considered conduct detrimental to the Army). But if the guy was using cocaine and apparently that is indeed so, then he got off pretty lightly.
